Domain Transfer

If you've purchased the domain from another provider and wish to transfer it to Smart, you'll need to request a transfer code, also known as an Authcode, from the provider. This code identifies the domain and allows the migration from one provider to another.

The transfer code is legally required to be provided by the provider and cannot be refused unless there are outstanding debts or different agreements between the parties. Usually, the Authcode can be obtained through your registration panel, or you can request an email with the migration code through a button in the panel.

Providers like GoDaddy, Aruba, Register, Ovh, and many others freely release the transfer code, allowing users to obtain it at any time by logging into their account and navigating to the domain panel. Once in possession of the transfer code, you only need to find the new provider you want to use and follow the steps for domain registration.

When you enter your domain into Smart, the system will detect that it's occupied. You'll then declare yourself as the owner, enter the transfer code, and complete the registration procedure. Transfer times can range from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 8 days, during which the two providers will communicate to initiate the migration process.

Always remember to back up your emails to avoid correspondence loss. If you want to activate a PRO account but don't want to transfer your domain, you can select the 'DNS service' option when purchasing the account.

To complete the purchase with DNS service, you'll need to:

1. Log in to your account or register on our platform.
2. Click on 'Save' or 'Activate PRO' on the right to switch to PRO.
3. Enter your payment details and then your personal information for account registration.
4. Select the domain, which will already be occupied, and click "I am the owner of this domain."
5. Click on 'DNS service.'
6. Proceed with the purchase. After completing the purchase, you'll receive an email with all DNS records to set on the DNS Configuration panel of your current provider.
